"Rosmersholm is excellently performed and directed with some flair by
adaptor Terje Tveit. … Jonathan Rigby points out with some sympathy what an
idiotically naïve buffer Rosmer can be. Vivien Gregory capably delineates
Rebekka's unhappy descent from calculating vamp to broken spirit. Adrian Kirk
splices the reactionary Rector Kroll with charm and steel. To emphasise his point
that learning has disciplined her intellect but not her heart, Kroll punctuates
his tirade by hurling books percussively at her feet."
